UPDATE: Search crews found the body of Chenoa L. Plank, a 26 year old woman from Sugar House in Strawberry Reservoir Sunday evening.
Chenoa Plank and Benjamin Magalis were fishing near Chicken Creek West at Strawberry Reservoir on Monday, Nov 12th, when their canoe capsized.
Wasatch County Sheriff’s office says water temperature was about 38 degrees.

UPDATE SUNDAY: In a post on their Facebook Page, Wasatch County Sheriff is asking for the public’s help in locating items they believe belonged to the missing couple.
“We need to find a gray life jacket that was likely on Strawberry Reservoir this week,” said the post. “If you were on Strawberry Reservoir this week (Nov 12-16) and picked up a gray colored life jacket, please call our Dispatch Center at 435-654-1411.”
There has not been any updates on the continued search for Chanoa L. Plank.
WASATCH COUNTY (ABC4 News) – UPDATE: Search and Rescue crews have recovered the body of a man on Saturday who had been reported missing, along with his girlfriend earlier this week.
In a Facebook post, Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said the body of 24-year-old Benjamin S. Margalis of Goodhue, Minnesota was found near Chicken Creek West.
Crews are still searching for his 26-year-old girlfriend Chanoa L. Plank of Sugar House. The search for her will resume again on Sunday.
WASATCH COUNTY (ABC4 News) – Crews are actively searching Strawberry Reservoir Friday after a couple was reported missing.
Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said they received a 911 late Thursday night from the father of a 26-year-old Salt Lake County woman.
The man told dispatchers his daughter went camping near Strawberry Reservoir on Sunday with her 24-year-old boyfriend and her dog.
The woman was reportedly supposed to return home on Tuesday, but the father never heard from her.
Through the night, Wasatch County deputies found her vehicle near the reservoir. A canoe she was reported to have taken was not near the vehicle.
The Wasatch County Search and Rescue Team used a helicopter Friday morning and found the canoe on a small island in the reservoir. No one was in or near the canoe, according to deputies.
Search crews are currently working to locate the pair.
