ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – The Medical Examiner’s Office has officially identified the body found in St. George on Saturday Aug. 5.
The body was positively identified as Amy Crawford, 32. She had not been seen or heard from since June 22.
A man out for a morning walk discovered Crawford’s body near the Santa Clara River in the area of 1500 S. Dixie Drive.
Investigators knew the body belonged to a woman, but because of the decomposed state, they had to wait for the Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the deceased.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and no other information will be released at this time.
