‘BlacKkKlansman’ Ron Stallworth to speak at Weber State

OGDEN, Utah (ABC4 News) – Ron Stallworth, the subject of the recent movie “BlacKkKlansman,” will be speaking at Weber State University’s Shepherd Union Wildcat Theater on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Stallworth, who was the first black police officer with the Colorado Springs police department, will share his story and experience as a law enforcement officer with the Ku Klux Klan.

While with the department, Stallworth says he had to deal with issues of racism and bigotry, and also had to deal with those issues from the community.

Stallworth will share his story and answer questions from the audience from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. and then again from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
