Logan, Utah – (News4Utah) Firefighters responded to a salvage yard fire at DD Auto & Salvage Inc in Logan Utah on Saturday afternoon that forced billowing black smoke to fill the air and temporarily shut down SR 30
Craig Humphreys of Logan Fire says the fire started during salvage operations on a vehicle. Cutting torches were being used caught near by fuel on fire. The fire then spread throughout the yard damaging 32 cars.
Fifty firefighters were on site using one near by hydrant and one fire truck to douse the flames.
The fire was deemed accidental and there were no injuries.
