PARK CITY, Utah (ABC4) – The man killed in a three-vehicle crash near Park City on Wednesday has been identified.
Utah Highway Patrol says crews were dispatched to the scene at around 7:30 a.m.
An investigation shows a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Daniel Wakefield of Orem was traveling northbound on SR-224 (Marsac Avenue) near mile post 3.
Two other vehicles – a Nissan Frontier and a silver Toyota Tacoma – were traveling southbound in the same area.
Authorities say the Wakefield’s vehicle left its lane, making contact with the driver side of the Frontier. Wakefield then entered the southbound lane, perpendicular to the lane.
The Tacoma then made contact with the passenger side of Wakefield’s vehicle.
Utah Highway Patrol says Wakefield was pronounced dead at the scene while the other two drivers sustained minor injuries.

Original Story: Authorities investigating fatal Park City crash

PARK CITY, Utah (ABC4) – Authorities are investigating a fatal crash in Summit County.
Park City Fire District shared a Facebook post shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday saying crews were responding to a car accident on Marsac, adding that the road is temporarily closed for investigation.
Utah Highway Patrol confirmed at 9:50 a.m. that the crash is fatal.
Few details are known at this time, but more information is expected to be released at around 11 a.m.
