SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Solitude Mountain Resort up Big Cottonwood Canyon is ringing in December as they celebrate opening day Saturday.

After weeks of anticipation and mounting snowfall, Solitude Mountain Resort opens with 23 available runs. The original plan was to open with four lifts but surprise storms and a promising year ahead, Solitude looks forward to this year’s season.
