ANCHORAGE, Alaska (ABC4) – The family of a missing Alaska woman with Utah ties is asking for help finding 21-year-old Saria Barney Hildabrand.

Hildabrand was reported missing on Sunday, Aug. 6. Family members report she left home for work that morning around 10 a.m. leaving her phone behind, which, according to family, was not common.

Hildabrand and her family are from Utah. She attended Hillcrest High School. Family members have traveled to Alaska to look for her and are asking anyone with information to call the Anchorage Police Department.

Hildabrand is described as a 21-year-old Asian American female. She is 5’8” with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing all black clothing and shoes as well as a black crossbody bag. Her last known location was in Anchorage, Alaska.

Hildabrand’s mom, Meredith Barney, said the Anchorage Police Department has been working with the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division on her case.

Barney and her sister, Brittany Monson, have been helping search on foot to places they know Hildabrand has been or frequented in Alaska.

This is abnormal behavior for Hildabrand, according to Barney.

Monson said they just want people to see her face and know what’s going on.

“She is a super loving, loyal person. She is a person that when you see her she lights up your day and makes you feel loved and understood,” Monson said.

While Hildabrand went missing in Anchorage, Alaska, her family is reaching out to those in Utah who might have information, as that is where Hildabrand is from.
