Alex Boyé releases patriotic music video just in time for July 4th

Local News

Singer Alex Boyé released a new music video Tuesday head of the Fourth of July. This year, America celebrates Independence Day, in rocky political climate.

Boyé, who was recently invited to be the Refugee Ambassador for the State of Utah, wanted to rise about the negativity with a musical expression of liberty and love.

His song Liberty crosses cultural and ethnic barriers using the most universal means of communication we as humans have, music and love. It’s all woven together in a patriotic celebration through dance alongside our nation’s flag.

The video for his song Liberty was partially filmed at the Utah Refugee Education and Training Center in Murray. Boyé worked to Utah company Colonial Flag on the project.

“Freedom, bigger than you and me, more than just a word in a dictionary, more than just a word that can evoke emotion.” —Lyrics from the song, Liberty
