OREM, Utah (News4Utah) – Three years after the disappearance of Elizabeth Salgado her family was finally able to put her to rest.
Family members gathered Saturday in Orem to hold a memorial for Elizabeth. The Salgado family is grateful to the community for the opportunity to find closure.
The young woman from Mexico disappeared from her Provo language school three years ago in May. Her body was found in a remote part of the forest in Hobble Creek Canyon.
Rosenberg Salgado, Elizabeth’s uncle says “What’s next is basically is trying to find out whoever is responsible for this. And I have the confidence and I have the faith that we are going to find whoever did this and we are find the whoever it was.”
Investigators say they are focusing on two people who could be involved in her death.
