SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – On Thursday afternoon, members of the Utah Army National Guard 65th Field Artillery Brigade returned after nearly a year of deployment in the Middle East.

“It was so amazing because he was gone for a long time,” said Lily, whose father embraced her and smiled at his family.

Other fathers did the same thing — hugging wives, family members, and children.

“I think we’ve had over 10 babies born while we were deployed, and many other issues things that happened at home, and I just want to thank them for their sacrifice,” said Commander Adam Robinson.
