81st annual Salt Lake County Fair kicks off Wednesday

Rob Dean, Fair Manager, and Hired Guns, Craig Johnson & Lannie Scopes, talk about what you can expect from this year’s Salt Lake County Fair. 
The 2017 Salt Lake County Fair opens Wednesday, August 2 and runs through Saturday, August 5 at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center. 
Thursday night’s Grandstand welcomes the Circle J Rodeo with doors opening at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $12 for ages 16-plus and $5 for youths 2-15 years old. 
Fans of monster trucks will find a special treat at this year’s Fair. During the Monster Truck Racing League show presenting King Krunch , patrons will be treated to FMX Freestyle Motorcross on Saturday August 5, The pit opens at 6:00 PM. Tickets for this Saturday night double feature are $10 for children 2-15 years of age, $15 for people aged 16-plus.
Free fun events and activities are offered daily including Ivie Petting Zoo,  pony rides, Salt Lake’s Got Talent shows, musical entertainment, color throws every hour, foam parties, , and delicious fair food and food trucks.
