CENTERVILLE, Utah (ABC4 News) – A five-year-old girl was hit by a car on her way to school Friday morning.
Lt. Zan Robinson with Centerville Police Department says the 5-year-old was on her way to Reading Elementary School at 8:37 a.m. when she was hit by a Chevrolet Suburban traveling north on 2025 North Frontage Road.
Officials say the girl was flown by medical helicopter to Primary Children’s with a broken leg. Lt. Robison says the girl was conscious but not alert.
Officials say the 5-year-old was walking to school with her older sister. There was not a crosswalk in the road where the girl was, officials say it is unknown why she was in the street.
