HEBER CITY (ABC4 News) – Four people suspected of involvement in a string of recent vehicle burglaries were arrested Tuesday.

A Heber City police officer attempted to stop a car for failure to stop at a stop sign early Tuesday morning. The vehicle did not stop, and a pursuit ensued.

The car eventually crashed. Two people were taken into custody and while two others fled, but they were later apprehended.

Police said all four individuals are linked to auto burglaries that happened Monday night and several within the past two weeks. The suspects were identified as:

  • Lashelle M. Cordova
  • Brody Jay Winkler
  • Cole Morgan Watanuki
  • Michael Joseph Lopez

They were all booked into the Wasatch County Jail on a slew of charges including vehicle burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and drug use and possession charges.

Due to recent auto thefts and burglaries, Heber City police said they increased their patrol in certain Heber City areas to catch the suspects.

Officers remind the public to never leave their cars running.
