4 people robbed at gunpoint in Salt Lake City, suspects in custody

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Three suspects are in police custody after they robbed four different people at gunpoint in Salt Lake City, police say.

According to police, the first armed robbery happened at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at 25 South and 300 East.

The suspects pulled out a gun and robbed the woman of her groceries, said police.

At about 10:45 p.m. the second armed robbery occurred at 300 South and 500 East. Police say the suspects took a man’s cell phone.

An hour later the suspects struck again at 600 South Elizabeth Street. News4Utah is still waiting on specifics from police about this incident.

Ten minutes later, police say the group struck again. This time they pulled out a gun and ordered the male victim to empty his pockets, said Salt Lake City Police.

One of the victims was able to describe the getaway car to police — an older Nissan Altima with a broken window.

That car was spotted on State Street at about 350 South. Police shut the entire area down as they arrested all of the suspects.

They have been identified as: David Montoya,20 ; Cameron Dallas, 18; Kira Smith, 18.

No one was injured in any of the four armed robberies.

Police say a gun was recovered in the suspects’ car.
