SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Unified Fire crews are on scene of a natural gas leak on Highland Drive in Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon.
According to Unified Fire, UFA Hazmat crews were dispatched to a full rupture of a 4-inch commercial natural gas line in the middle of the road at 3900 South 2000 East at about 2 p.m.
The line was cut by contractors working in the area.
Currently businesses in the area are being evacuated and traffic will be shut down at 2000 East for those traveling west on 3900 South to Highland Drive.
An update will be provided once more information is obtained.
