SPANISH FORK, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – A 3-year-old boy is dead after he was backed over in a Spanish Fork neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 3 p.m. in the area of 980 East 1420 South.

Spanish Fork police say the child was riding a low-profile bicycle in the street when a neighbor backing out of a driveway backed over the boy.
First responders initially called for a medical helicopter, but due to weather conditions, it could not fly safely. Storms move through Utah County Wednesday. Police say there was heavy rain when the hit was it.
The boy was rushed to the hospital via ambulance in critical condition, but he later died at the hospital.
Police say the driver was very distraught and was also hospitalized.
