LAYTON, Utah (ABC4) – Three people were arrested on Saturday for allegedly attempting to sell fake gold outside of a Walmart parking lot in Layton.

Layton police said the three people that were arrested were trying to sell the Layton City Police Chief fake gold in the Walmart parking lot.

The suspects had European accents and claimed to need money to care for their young kids, according to police.

Police believe there are more victims in the area.
