2 boys accused of walking into South Jordan store, stealing weapons

SOUTH JORDAN (News4Utah)- After calling on the community for help, police in South Jordan have identified two boys accused of taking weapons from a sports store.

Both of the boys were taken into custody Wednesday.

The two boys are seen on surveillance video walking into the Sportsman’s Warehouse at 10462 South River Heights Drive around 6 p.m. on May 12th.

Officers say the pair each took a handgun and hid them in their clothing.

“Prior to leaving the s tore with the concealed firearms,one of the suspects stole handgun ammunition,” a press release said.

The boys reportedly attend the same charter school in Murray. No other information has been made available.
