2 arrested after drug bust in Sevier County

SEVIER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) -The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people for suspected distribution of illegal drugs.

Bret Zimmer, 29, and Staci Peterson, 30, were arrested Thursday after authorities searched a residence in Sigurd where they found several ounces of meth, along with heroin and marijuana.

Large amounts of cash were also seized at the home.

The two face multiple drug charges with the intent to distribute. They were also charged with possession of firearms by a restricted person, a third-degree felony.

The case is also being reviewed by federal prosecutors and the investigation is ongoing.
