EDEN, Utah (News4Utah) – A 19-year-old man has died after police say the UTV he was driving crashed and rolled on top of him in Weber County Saturday night.

Tuesday he was identified as Jaden Parent from Ogden.

Weber County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chad Allen said the crash happened at Sunridge, near the Middle Fork of the Ogden River just before 9 p.m. when Parent was driving a side-by-side with his 18-year-old brother and lost control of the vehicle. He was ejected and the UTV rolled over the top of him.

Allen said the two bothers made their way back to the campground where the injured brother was then transported to the hospital by one of the individuals that were with them. Parent started to lose consciousness so a medical helicopter was called to the area where they were met by medical personnel who worked on the man for nearly an hour but he died from internal injuries before he could be transported.

The 18-year-old brother was not injured.

The cause of the crash is still not known however, alcohol is not being considered a factor.
