WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A 13-year-old boy was transported to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning.
Lt. Steve Katz, West Valley City Police, said the incident happened at 6:48 a.m. near 3785 South when the boy crossed the street and was hit by a vehicle traveling north on 6400 West. It is believed the boy was headed towards the Junior High that is in the area.
Katz said the boy was not in a crosswalk and it was dark at that time in the morning. The female driver remained on scene and called 911.
The boy was taken to Primary Children’s Hospital and was treated for a possible broken ankle.
Katz said there is no indication of any impairment and the driver will most likely not face any charges.
