Remarkle Women Contest

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) –  One hundred and sixteen people became United States citizens at the Utah State Capitol Tuesday.

Those who took part in the swearing-in ceremony came from 50 different countries ranging from Afghanistan to Vietnam.

The new citizens, their families, and friends came together to share the experience.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Department has naturalized more than 716,000 people in 2017.
