MEADOW, Utah (ABC4 Utah) One person is dead and another is critical condition after a motorcycle crash on Interstate 15 in Millard County Friday afternoon.

Utah Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 12:15 p.m. on I-15 southbound in Meadow.

Witnesses say a motorcycle was traveling on I-15 when for some unknown reason it began to wobble in the roadway. The driver was unable to recover and the bike tipped over.

The motorcycle was driven by a male driver with a female passenger. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified as Randi L. Mahas, 36, of Ogden.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital and then flown to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition.  Neither the driver nor the passenger had been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

I-15 southbound is open, but it was closed for about three hours Friday afternoon while crews investigated the crash. Delays remained into the early evening hours.
