CONGO, Central Africa (ABC4 New) – Temple tours are opening for the Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said the free public open house, will start Tuesday, March 12, and end Saturday, March 30. They say dedicatory services for the temple will be held Sunday, April 2019.

On Saturday, April 13, a youth devotional is planned to be held with church leaders. Officials say will be broadcast to all congregations in the Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo Temple District.
In addition to the Johannesburg, South Africa; Accra, Ghana; and Aba, Nigeria temples currently operating in Africa, this will be the fourth operating temple on the continent.
Church officials say plans have been announced to build temples in Harare, Zimbabwe; Nairobi, Kenya; and the Abidjan Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire) with the Durban South Africa temple under construction.
