LOS ANGELES (ABC4 Sports) – The Utah Jazz wrapped up a perfect preseason with a 105-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, as Rudy Gobert led the way with 29 points on 10 of 12 shooting to along with 13 rebounds.
Rookie Donovan Mitchell had a career-high 26 points off the bench, making 10 of 20 shots.
Ricky Rubio scored 22 points and 6 assists, as the Jazz wrapped up the preseason with a record of 5-0.
Derrick Favors and Joe Johnson each added 10 points for the Jazz, who shot 46 percent from the floor.
With Rodney Hood only playing four minutes because of a minor neck injury, Mitchell picked up the scoring slack.
The Jazz defense forced 18 turnovers and held the Lakers to 44 percent shooting from the field.
Former University of Utah star Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers with 18 points.
The Jazz finish the preseason with a perfect 5-0 record, including victories over the Sydney Kings and Maccabi Haifa.
The Jazz will begin the regular season Wednesday, October 18th at home against Denver.
