SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – Former United States Congressman for Utah Jason Chaffetz made his intentions clear regarding the 2020 gubernatorial race Monday.

“After serious consideration, I have decided not to run for Governor of Utah in 2020.  I may run for office in the future, but I have a different role now with Fox News and working to elect Republicans around the country,” said Chaffetz.

In June 2017, Chaffetz resigned from the U.S. House of Representatives before the end of his term. He signed on with the Fox News Channel a short time later.
