How to Tell if Your Home Has Bed Bugs

“You have bed bugs!” It’s one of the last things anyone wants to hear. How do you know if you do have bed bugs and more importantly, how can you get rid of them?
Brandon Miller from Edge Pest Control talks explains you can know if you home has bed bugs.
What do bed bugs look like?
Adult bedbugs have a flat brownish red oval body. They are about the size and shape of an apple seed.
How do I know if my home has bed bugs?
First, it will be easily noticed you are getting bit. Most of the time this happens while sleeping in bed. Bed bug bites are not painful but later turn into itchy welts. There are usually multiple bites.
Second, you will visually see them. They tend to nest and hide in the crevices of the mattress, the cracks in the bed frame and headboard, and the carpets and baseboards. But they are hitchhiking bugs so they can be found all over the home if they are carried to different rooms.
How do bed bugs get in my home?
Bedbugs do not crawl in a home like a spider. They hitchhike on a person and travel with them until the bed bugs latch off and fall to the ground. Since people spend more of their time at home and work, these are common places to see bedbugs.
What does Edge Pest Control do for bed bugs?
Edge has a bedbug plan that uses pet and human friendly products. The homeowner does not need to leave the house while the home is being treated. Edge treats all vulnerable and common places that bedbugs like to nest.
