How To Give Back And Have a Rockin’ Good Time

News
Ashley and Mike Wright of Pin Me Up Utah joined GTU to talk about an exciting way to give back this holiday season. Pin Me Up is hosting a charity event on December 10th at the Garage on Beck in SLC. The 6th Annual Rockin’ Christmas Charity event benefits Toys for Tots. The event has a rockabilly theme and awesome bands! Attendees must be over 21.

“This event started in 2010 because I wanted to help children in need during the holiday season. I have 4 children of my own and it would break my heart to see their faces on Christmas morning without any gifts from Santa. I love the holidays and I love helping when and where I can. My husband and I really enjoy this event. We put a lot of work into it to make it bigger and better every year. Raising money and gathering toys makes this entire event what it is.
The goal for this event is to raise more than $3000 and to gather at least 6 boxes of toys. Last year we gathered 5 boxes!” explained Ashley.

The event asks all attendees bring a toy donation, it’s not required, but it’s definitely accepted. Their $10 cover at the door goes towards the monetary donation as well! Then once they’re in they can check out the raffle prizes and enjoy the party! Two local bands, The Utah County Swillers and The Hurricane Kings will be performing. They also have Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys coming from California to entertain.
