‘Home for the Pawlidayz’ pet adoptions winding down

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – You still have until tomorrow to adopt a dog or cat for free at the Utah Humane Society.

Hey are among several shelters where the cost of adoption is being covered by a corporate sponsor.

It started Friday and it’s called ‘Home for the Paw-lidayz’.

Deann Shepherd, of the Utah Humane Society says “Friday we had a record breaking day. We did 130    adoptions and it was just amazing to see so many pets got home before the holidays. Yesterday we did over 70. And today we’ve slowed down. We’ve only done about 11. Some shy kitties here like Tria are still waiting for a home and we’re down to about 6 dogs.”

You can adopt a cat or a dog for free tomorrow from 10am to 7pm at the Humane Society in Murray.
