SANDY (News4Utah)- The Salt Lake County Health Department shut a Mexican restaurant in Sandy down after a health inspector found over 40 violations.
Violations at La Frontera Cafe at 61 West 10600 South included dead cockroaches near tortilla chips and around the restaurant, dirty equipment, and no hot water at the hand sink.
In addition, health officials say the person in charge was “unable to demonstrate knowledge of the relationship between the prevention of foodborne illness and maintaining the food establishment in clean condition, good repair, and how it relates to pest control”.
