SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) Churches and community groups have a message for the Salt Lake City Mayor and City Council: Salt Lake City has a housing crisis.

They presented their message at the Salt Lake City and County building asking leaders to move on creating more affordable housing.

They say they want to hear from Mayor Jackie Biskupski.

“We deal with low income issues and we have been side tracked put down on dozens of issues, so sure we’re worried. where’s the mayor who said she was an advocate for low-income people. We know she cares  but by George, we don’t know where the hell she is on this,” said Tim Funk with Crossroads Urban Center.

Funk says they want the mayor to outline a clear plan after the city council made the commitment to end homelessness and provide affordable housing.

ABC4 Utah reached out to the mayor’s office for comment, but never heard back.
