ATLANTA, Ga. (WTVO) – A high school in Atlanta is issuing a warning to parents that students are using popular baking ingredients to get drunk.

Grady High School said that some of their students were going to the grocery store to purchase vanilla extract, then mixing it with Starbucks coffee in order to come to school with a buzz, according to WLS.

Vanilla extract is 70 proof in a small bottle, which is a little less than a bottle of vodka.

In one case, a student at Grady ended up in the emergency room.
