Gene Fullmer dead at 83

Tuesday people in Utah are saying good-bye to one of the greats.

Former middleweight world champion boxer and West Jordan-native, Gene Fullmer died Monday.

He’s best known for upsetting the legendary Sugar Ray Robinson in 1957 to win the world middleweight boxing championship.

Fullmer compiled a 55-6-3 record as a pro, with 24 of his victories coming by knockout.

Fullmer was 83.
