Friends and family still asking questions after Magna Murders

MAGNA, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – There was a somber gathering in the rain at Magna’s Copper Park. People were hugging and crying and asking for help.

Steven Chambers and Shelli Brown were shot to death two days apart in Magna. That was last August. There are still no arrests. Police are sure they’re connected and they’re still collecting evidence and building a case.

Steven’s sister, Tiffany Chambers says, “I used to really believe that people in general were good, but somebody out there has the key to this.  Somebody out there knows the truth or has what the detectives are missing.  I’m begging them.  Please come forward.”

Unified police were there tonight. They say they’re working the case every day, still collecting DNA and other evidence.  They’re as shocked as the community.

Lt. Lex Bell told us, “We don’t have serial killers or multiple homicides in a small community like this and it’s really important to all of us that we arrest the people that did this and we bring a resolution to this too.”

Bell predicts they’ll put all the pieces together and make an arrest before the one year anniversary of the killings in August.
