Female Wrestler Wins Case in Court

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) A 14-year-old Layton girl won a victory in her fight for a chance to wrestle on her junior high school team.
Kathleen Janis was on the boys team at her old school in Idaho, but last year, her new school, Central Davis Junior High said she couldn’t try out because of her gender.
Janis and her family filed a complaint in federal court and she won.
A judge granted a temporary restraining order against the Davis School District allowing her to try out for the team on Monday. The order is good for the next 14 days until another hearing.
