Alan and Nikki Lawrence are letting their 18-month-old son take flight to raise awareness for Down Syndrome.

“Wil has always wanted to fly ever since he learned to roll on his stomach. When on his stomach he likes to throw his arms behind his back and wiggle his feet and my family and I have always joked that he will one day take off. So being a photographer I decided one day to make that a reality,” said Alan on his Kickstarter page.

A positive reaction from Alan’s Instagram followers sparked an idea — to use the photos to “Bring Light” to the issue of Down Syndrome.

The Lawrence family now wants to take this idea and put it on a calendar to sell, and donate the proceeds to foundations that help people with Down Syndrome.
