SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- FanX Salt Comic Convention, formally known as Comic-Con, kicked off it’s first of three days filled with celebrities and events Thursday.
Cosplayers and fans from around the country are gathering at the Salt Palace Convention.
Organizers said since its first years they’ve been able to expand bringing in new celebrities events.
Celebrities say they loving coming to Salt Lake for the family-oriented show that meeting their fans one-on-one really means a lot.
“To us, it might just be that gig we’re doing that week or whatever, but if it matters to people than it becomes something more than that. These are the best opportunities in the world to meet people who stuff you’ve done actually means something too,” said Jess Harnell, voice actor.
The event includes not only includes actors from comic book movies but also artists, authors, and filmmakers.
Jeremy Cornell is at FanX to premiere his film Hunt for the Skinwalker about Skinwalker Ranch in Utah.
John Wesley Shipp played The Flash in the CBS series from 1990 to 1991.
Tom Hopper is known for his work in Game of Thrones and Black Sails.
