Easy Christmas Fudge
4 cups sugar
1 stick of butter
1 can evaporated milk
1 large Hershey bar broken up(7oz.)
1 pkg. milk chocolate chips (12oz.)
2 cups miniature marshmallows
2 cups chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine butter, sugar, and evaporated milk in a pot and bring to a boil. Continue at a medium boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and slowly stir in the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a grease 9X13 pan and allow to cool. Cut into squares to serve or give as gifts. This fudge freezes really well.
Todd and Sheri Hall from Duerden’s Appliance and Mattress joined Midday with a recipe for Easy Christmas Fudge.
“This Wolf induction cooktop is perfect for candy because it is so responsive and I have really precise control(show responsiveness). With a lot of candy recipes you have to use a candy thermometer but with this you just boil it for 7 minutes,” Sheri explained.
Todd explained that induction uses magnets instead of heating coils. So you can get a nice sleek top like an electric, but with the responsiveness of gas. We can boil really quickly and simmer all day. It’s also a lot more efficient since all the energy goes into making the pan the heating element. It’s also really easy to clean if you have a spillover.
