Early Morning House Fire Destroys Huntsville Home

News

HUNTSVILLE, Utah (ABC4 News) A fire has destroyed a home in Huntsville early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters worked for hours in freezing temperatures after being called to a house fire at 650 South 7600 East just around midnight.

The house, a log cabin styled structure, was worked from the outside as it was believed the fire started in the basement making it too dangerous for firefighters to access the first floor.

Weber County Fire officials said the 4 degree temperatures and the narrow access road to the home also made it difficult to fight the fire.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time. Damages are estimated to be about $253,000
