ST. GEORGE Utah (ABC4 Utah) — Police say a drug bust in St. George has led to the discovery of stolen property from multiple burglaries.

On Thursday evening, Joshua James Nelson was arrested after Officers say they discovered meth, and marijuana inside his St. George home.  But that’s not all.

“They located items that had been reported stolen,” said Lona Trombley with St. George Police.

Police say the items came from reported burglaries in both St. George and Santa Clara worth thousands of dollars.

“Stolen from mailboxes, stolen from residence, stolen from vehicles, work trailers, places of business. … Several watches that had been reported back in 2016,” said Trombley.

Nelson’s been charged with possession of stolen property and drugs, but police say more charges could be on the way. Many items have been returned to their owners, police say some were pawned in Las Vegas, and other stolen items they’re still not sure where the original owners are.

“No thefts are insignificant. There’s always a chance we can located your property, and we definitely want to get it back to the owner, if we do locate it,” said Trombley.

Police encourage anyone to reach out if you think any of the items could be yours or if you suspect property of yours might have been stolen.
