SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – ABC4’s Midday received a little taste of Congo on Monday morning.
Rosette Bahati and her daughter, Sylviane, stopped by to show our viewers how to make a few Congolese-inspired dishes.
In addition to cooking, the Bahatis also showcased handmade items from their company African Roots. Through African Roots, people are able to purchase jewelry, accessories, bags, purses, etc.
All week-long, ABC4 News Midday is showcasing African culture to gear up for this year’s 4th Annual African Festival.
It’s a family, friendly event celebrating music, dance, arts and delicious food.
The festival is takes place Saturday, July 27 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. at Liberty Park.
