SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) The first ever DinoFest was held over the weekend at the Natural History Museum in Salt Lake City.

DinoFest, gave guests a rare look inside the Museum’s Paleo Prep Lab, allowed them to see fossils not normally on display and hear from more than a dozen scientists.

The Fest, held both Saturday and Sunday, shared their work and discoveries about Utah dinosaurs and gave visitors a “behind the scenes” look inside the paleontology department.

Families were able to enjoy activities for kids including dino-themed face painting, art, science and kinesthetic activities and demonstrations of Research Quest, a new online game that uses Museum fossils to teach students to think and act like real scientists.
