LITTLE ROCK, AR – Today’s Little Rock flights to and from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport are delayed or cancelled due to a sinkhole near one of DFW’s runways.

According to the Clinton National Airport website, as of 10 a.m., the affected flights include:

  • 2 delayed departures
The sinkhole was discovered this morning in the grassy area about 250 feet between a taxiway and runway 18L, DFW posted on its Twitter page.

“The sinkhole is not located on the runway or taxiway, but in the safety area. The runway will remain closed until repairs are completed,” the airport tweeted shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The FAA’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center first reported runway 18L was closed and delays were between 16 to 30 minutes and increasing.
