‘Candy Bomber’ recreates iconic candy drop

OREM, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) An historic act of kindness has been recreated. Gail Halverson, more commonly known as ‘The Candy Bomber” reenacted his famous post World War II flight Friday.

Instead of dropping candy to kids in Germany, Friday, he dropped candy to kids at Scera Park in Orem.

Friday morning, Orem Mayor Richard Brunst declared July 3 Gail Halverson Day.
