Burned-out California home on market for $1.4 million

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Cali. (KRON) – A burned-out home in Mountain View that’s for sale is yet another reminder of the insane real estate market in the Bay Area. 

The asking price? $1.4 million. 

The three bed, two bath home is located at 230 Lassen Avenue in Mountain View. 

According to the Cheryl Rivera Smith, the agent for the homeowners, offers are already pouring in. 

All cash and all over the asking price. 

The house was burned down in a fire in 2015. The former house is now a charred shell. 

Smith says she’s been in real estate for 35 years and has never seen anything like this. 

However, just last week, another burned-out home in San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood was listed for $800,000 and has received several offers over the asking price.
