Avalanche Buries Cars in Little Cottonwood Canyon

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) State Route 210, Little Cottonwood Canyon was closed Thursday evening after an avalanche. 

The avalanche occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Mt. Superior. The slide crossed a section of SR-210 and into a Snowbird parking lot. 

Snowbird says three parked vehicles were in the path of the slide, but no injuries have been reported. 

Officials say the canyon will be closed until Friday morning.
