4 arrested on charges of prescription fraud

ST. GEORGE (ABC4 News) Due to the coordination between law enforcement and local pharmacists, four individuals were arrested on multiple prescription fraud charges.

A pharmacist in St. George received an alert from another pharmacy in Northern Utah to lookout for four individuals out of Los Angeles that had been committing prescription fraud.

When the four entered the St. George pharmacy, the pharmacist called the police and they were able to arrest the suspects.

 “This was a great effort between the community and the police department where we were able to stop these people from continuing to defraud the pharmacies,” said Tiffany Atkin with St. George Police Department.

Alejandro Davalos, Enrique Tello-Pena, Cristian Puente-Gurrola, and Hector Fernandez, all from California, were arrested. All four men are begin held in the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane.
