3-Year-Old Victim in Washington City Fire Dies

WASHINGTON CITY (ABC4 Utah) A toddler becomes the second person to die from a southern Utah fire. 
 
The 3-year-old girl died due to her injuries at a Las Vegas hospital Wednesday afternoon. A 27-year-old woman remains in critical condition. 
 
The woman and child were trapped in a burning trailer Monday night on the 400 block of East Angie Lane in Washington City. 
 
Richard Kirkland, 60, rushed into the trailer to rescue them. He later died at Dixie Regional Hospital. 
 
The woman and child were rescued by emergency responders, before being taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. 
 
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
