RICHFIELD, Idaho (ABC4 Utah) More than a dozen students were hurt when a school bus rolled over and crashed in Idaho.
It happened near Richfield, Idaho and involved junior high school students and adult chaperones on their way to track meet.
Police say the 67-year-old driver drove off the right shoulder and then overcorrected, rolling the bus, but landing on its wheels.
None of the injuries are life-threatening, but police say 13 students were taken to the hospital by ground or by air.
“They ended up taking five of the students via air ambulance. They took five students via ground ambulance and I believe two or three went with their parents in personal vehicles,” said Sheriff Rene Rodriguez with Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Some students were seen with slings and braces on their legs. Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
