ST. GEORGE (News4Utah) – A 1-year-old boy died after police said he was accidentally run over by his mother.
It happened Sunday evening at a family event. St. George police were called to the area of 1100 East 400 South around 7.
Police said the woman was leaving to get food and didn’t know the boy was outside or behind the SUV.
Police called it a tragic accident and said no charges are pending.
“This was a tragic accident, and our hearts go out to the mother, to this family and friends of this little boy, and as a community, all we can really do is rally around the family,” said Lona Trombley with St. George Police Department.
